One frequently asked question is how to incorporate brand colors into a holiday themed photo or set of photos for a holiday ads or social media marketing for a holiday that typically has color schemes that don’t match the brand colors, such as for Halloween for brand colors that don’t include orange, yellow, or black.

As always, it depends on the business or organization’s marketing goals for that ad or social media marketing photos and how important it is for the brand colors to be prominent or if it is more important that photos feature the color scheme typically associated with that holiday.
It is also important to decide if it is important that the colors in the photos are an exact match of the brand color exact same shade or if the color or colors can be different shades and tones of the color that would not match exactly but would coordinate and look good in the ad or social media posts paired with graphics, text, or background colors that are the exact matches of the brand’s colors.
In these example Halloween themed beverage photos in this blog post, there are different shades of green, most of which do not match exactly, but do coordinate and look good with Jillian Regan Photo & Video’s brand colors of green, black, & white.

Some ways in which you can incorporate brand colors into holiday themed photos this include:
- In the background, backdrop, or surface colors.
- In the colors of items used as props.
- By focusing on just 1 or 2 of your brand’s colors if you have multiple brand colors and choosing the color or colors that would work best for both that photo or series of photos & for the holiday theme.
- Lighting can be used to add that color or colors into the photo, such as by using gels, continuous lights that can be set to certain colors, or by adjusting & angling the lights so that they light the products, people, props, or backdrops in a certain way that highlights the brand color(s).
